Help request: Do you have ideas on how to keep a 400+ participants hybrid event like a family reunion? As we are in the finish line for the organization of the Swiss Service Design Conference made by the Swiss Service Design Network I'm looking for ideas on how to keep the event: - Personal - Like a family reunion - With moments where people really bond (not network, bond!) How would you overcome this challenge?
This Saturday we'll celebrate the Service Design family with 400+ of its members both on-site in Siders and remotely 💚 We're thankful to all of you who will be part of this family-reunion style conference! For those who don't know it yet we'll have: ❇️ Workshops: for example on Service Recovery with Emmanuel Fragnière and Storytelling with Daniele Catalanotto ❇️ Talks: for example on Building Services for the Unloved with Christine Staïess, The Future Of Service Design with Pascal Wicht and Service Design Beyond Projects with Maaria Tiensivu ❇️ Awards: celebrating the best services of Switzerland More information and free remote tickets here: https://lnkd.in/eN-HUDGe
When I think of a family reunion, I think of catching up on news, hearing about big events in people’s lives, celebrating together. Usually there is a theme that brings people together, like a birthday, or a new baby or a 60th or a wedding. (Maybe you could do some sort of icebreaker that celebrates the room’s exciting life events? Put all the people with a new baby together to talk about their babies, put all newly weds together to compare wedding photos, etc) Sometimes there is a free bar and buffet which always goes down well. 😂
A bigass Whatsapp group with older folks publishing jokes in Power point documents? 🙈

6moHow about we take a few minutes after the talks to interact in a breakout room with 5 to 7 (online) participants? We could introduce ourselves briefly and share an experience related to the talk's theme.
