Our hybrid production machine at our manufacturing site in Littleborough is creating local employment, global carbon savings, and healthcare supply chain security. It means that instead of importing WIVA™ containers from the Netherlands, the products can now be produced here in the UK, effectively removing the need for emissions-producing transportation from Europe. Not only that, with a focus on speed and low power consumption, the large capacity injection moulding machine has state-of-the-art energy efficient technology which delivers a quieter and faster cycle time using 30% less energy than a standard, non-hybrid machine. Update from Fårevejle ✨ Stable production is secured, and most of the planned measures for improvement are now in place and operational. The most significant is our new gas balloon. It has: ✔ secured a 100% improvement in the production rate. ✔ increased the availability of syngas, allowing us to efficiently operate all reactors asynchronously. Production numbers: During a 48-hour period in our continuous production process, we have upcycled 80 metric tons of end-of-life plastic, converting it into 64 metric tons of feedstock ready for new plastic products. Other takeaways: All 6 reactors are heated by gas burners fuelled by syngas captured during the upcycling process 🔥 We found a way to handle high water levels in received end-of-life plastic. The solution is to reprocess the PtL, effectively reducing its water content to an acceptable level. This underlines the flexibility and robustness of our technology. What's next? We continue to implement additional efficiency measures. All in all, it’s fair to say we have reached another milestone in our operational capabilities and overall efficiency.
