FOOH (Fake out of home) advertising keeps getting more an more popular. So I worked on this small test to have proof that I can do it. I think that happens a lot to me, knowing I can do certain types of projects because I have the knowledge and experience with the tools but not having recent examples to back me up in my portfolio can result in clients doubting my word. These type of AR videos get a lot of attention because they look really cool, and luckily it's a simple process to make a basic one: Track the camera from a video, add 3D models and composite everything together. Short story long: I recorded that video, did the camera tracking inside of After Effects, transfered that spacial data to blender, added the can and the fish 3D models from the BlenderKit Add-on, animated the fish using particles simulation, added an HDRI and moved it around to match the light and shadows of my video, rendered the can and the school of fish separately, composited everything in After Effects, including that I had to rotoscope the car so that it could drive in front of the can, and separate a couple of fish so that they could swim in front of it too. And that was all. :) #FOOH #ARvideo #CGI #3DArtist #Blender3D #AfterEffects #MotionDesigner #OpenForWork
