Loads of interesting announcements in the key note today. If I had to summarise, I'd say the theme was AI-based but grounded in improving current services and providing the building blocks to allow customers to build their own solutions in a world where Inference is just another technical resource to drive business value. A number of new models were announced and I'm sure there will be more information in tomorrow's keynote (very interested in diving a bit deeper into Bedrock Automated Reasoning checks) but had to have a play with something in the meantime! This is Nova Reel turning one of my holiday snaps into a video (prompt: 'dolly up and rotate downwards'). The flag comes out a little disappointing but the filling in of the missing beach and the movement in the waves is pretty cool.

A rough 'it's there / it's not there" good enough approach. Or a solid, reliable result with built-in confidence. I have been working on some new effects over the last few months and Road testing them out & about to see how they are received in the real world & I thought I would share a small behind the scenes look at the process. In the picture you will see some tricks I do all the time and scattered amongst them are some of the new tricks and I have to see how they can be combined with the old tricks so everything flows nicely. The reason I use post it notes is so I can put them into small sets if needed depending on the type of event I’m planning to use them at. For example I will have different tricks for walkabout magic compared to table magic. If you have any questions about the process, type them in the comments and I will try and answer them 🪄
