Lean Construction projects are three times more likely to complete ahead of schedule and two times more likely to complete under budget than projects with traditional construction schedules. So what is Lean Construction? Danis is Lean Construction approach consists of five processes, early involvement through our Danas Integrated Team approach, pool planning, tax planning, weekly work planning and daily Huddles. Danis is integrated team approach or ITA for short is our strategic process driven. Approach that captures the advantages of early involvement and delivers maximum value. Integrating the project team early is necessary to boost collaboration and reduce rework, delays and waste. In Pool planning, every key stakeholder on the project starts from a target completion date and works backwards towards the start date, defining and sequencing all tasks. Once all tasks are identified, stakeholders visualize the order, dependencies and possible conflicts that could cause delays. As opposed to traditional schedule planning, in which one party or even one person creates the schedule, pool planning gives all parties partial ownership of the schedule. This leads to increased buy in collaboration and accountability. Tax planning is all about flow. The project is divided into zones that are used to plan how construction activities will flow through the building. The tax plan is a single page visual schedule that displays the three types of flow workflow, trade flow, and logistical flow. Workflow is the flow of continuous work within a project area. Trade flow is the flow of trades from area to area, and logistical flow is the flow from area to area in an ordered sequence. It's like a manufacturing process, but instead of moving the product through the people, it moves the people through the product. One of the biggest benefits of attack plan is resource leveling. The dependable flow of resources throughout the project eliminates the peaks and valleys of manpower seen within a traditional construction schedule. Another benefit of attack plan is its impact on communication. Anyone can look at the schedule at any time and see when a certain trade will be performed in a certain area. And in the case of our on site industrialized construction center, how much production is needed by that time for the work to be completed. In weekly work planning, trade partners collaborate to determine tasks that will be completed within the week. This touchpoint explores interdependencies between resources and matches tasks to the budget, making it easier to track progress and productivity. It also builds commitment to promise work and enables trade partners to improve their workflow. The daily huddle is a quick, effective communication point to keep project teams on track to meet weekly goals. It helps trade partners get comfortable with each other and begin to coordinate without running all communication through the construction manager. The daily huddle space serves as the project's information hub. Updated information is kept there and anyone can stop in to have their questions answered quickly.
