Danish Design Award’s Post

Winner of a Danish Design Award 2024: Caramma support bottle 🍼 The Caramma support bottle by caramma is the first air-free bottle that allows feeding in any natural position, with or without breast milk, promoting connection and stimulating oxytocin to soothe both parents and babies. Its patented vent system mimics the mammary gland, empowering babies to control their rhythm with natural pauses, fostering healthy eating habits, and preventing overfeeding. Half of all mothers in the EU and US struggle, and only 10% meet the Danish Health Authority’s recommended six months of breastfeeding. As parental roles evolve and new laws across Europe boost leave for fathers, the bottle arrives at the right time 🚀 Designed with circular principles, the bottle is made for easy disassembly, recycling, and disinfection, thus reducing waste. Its foldable design supports efficient transport, minimizing its environmental impact ♻️ The Jury says 🗣️ “Caramma support bottle is an empathetic solution that pays attention not only to the child but also to any type of parent. Through a well-researched and well-documented solution, it introduces a novel way of fostering a sense of belonging. The design stands out by its strong character, grounded in a deep understanding of purpose and effect. Beautiful in every sense of the word, this design solution reinvents outdated models that we live by sharing the experience of breastfeeding with all caregivers. Caramma support bottle shows a strong dedication and sincere wish to solve today's challenges and pioneer new forms of engagement for the future.” Congratulations with the award, caramma! ✨ The Danish Design Award is a collaboration between DDC – Danish Design Center and Design denmark. Creative Denmark is branding partner 2024.   #danishdesignaward #danishdesignaward24

Congratulations to all winners! Interesting, though, that when celebrating design, as in this post, the designer is not even mentioned by name. Doing some digging, it sees like there actually is one; "A special thank you to @petra kleis for the wonderful photos, to Veronica D'Souza for being amazing creative director together with Alexandra Rendtorff who is also the talent behind our brand identity and part of our core-caramma team, to FUHR STUDIO for some of the core elements og our visual identity & to Martin Stoltze, Industrial Designer, who is our industrial designer and 3D-wizard." - taken from Cramma's LI page. Well done, everyone involved, and congratulations, also to the designer...
