Strategies that land you your ideal next career move are 50% clarity, 30% authentic positioning, and 20% execution. However, most people have it backward and spend 50% or more in execution mode. This is your invitation to: 1. Stop 2. Pause 3. Get focused 4. Define your target 5. Get genuinely interested in your target and learn as much about it as possible. And, bonus tip, before you get all hot and bothered about “making the right choice” or feeling like you’re "missing out" on opportunities that you don’t even know about yet. Remember, it doesn’t matter if you accidentally choose the wrong target or the slightly wrong target or haven’t stumbled upon what you don’t know yet. It will end up shaking itself out in step # 5. But, only if you pick something and start moving forward, with genuine curiosity. Focus on learning with intention instead of landing with urgency, and you’ll get a better outcome (usually faster and more enjoyably). #Careers #Jobsearch #CareerTransition #Jobseekers

You don’t have to decide on a career direction for life. Thinking that you need to make a single decision about where to take your career is a sure way to get yourself stuck. Start doing career experiments. 💡 ➡️ List your options or interests ➡️ Try it for 5 days If it works for you, try it out for 5 more weeks. If it doesn’t, go back to your other options. Clarity comes from action. The goal is to get into “doing and trying mode” and figure out what works. 🔍 Get out of the starting gate and begin exploring possibilities.

If you have an answer to these 5 questions, you have a career development/change strategy. 1. Do you need a new job — any job — ASAP due to current circumstances? 2. Are you craving something totally new, or just a slight change from your current role? 3. How much of a foothold do you already have in the new field/ideal field that you want to be a part of? (think in terms of networks, skills, certifications.) 4. Are you looking to explore a different side of yourself, like new skills or going solo? 5. Is your next move about finding a role that aligns better with your interests and current life stage? Getting ‘unstuck’ begins with getting clear on what your career need is right NOW. The path forward depends on your answers, and each one could lead to a different strategy. So, what’s your next move? ⚡ ….. If you’re not sure about your answer, DM to get help with identifying and implementing the right strategy for you. #careerdevelopment #careerchange
