basic maintenance check of Engine.
At our Spartan Tulsa campus, we have a CFM-56 Turbofan Engine. This engine type is used on aircraft such as the Boeing 737 or Airbus A320. Students have the opportunity to disassemble this engine to inspect the blades as part of their training. Brian Ward, Aviation Maintenance Technician Program Chair at our Tulsa campus, walked us through some of the steps for inspecting these turbine blades and explained why it is so important. WHY AVIATION?!? Stable Career With Job Security..... In today’s economy, it can be difficult to find a career that is both stable and secure. However, those who choose to become aircraft mechanics can enjoy both of these benefits. Aircraft mechanics are responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on airplanes and helicopters. Due to the technical nature of the job, aircraft mechanics must have a strong understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems. They also need to be able to work in small spaces and pay close attention to detail. While the work can be challenging, it is also rewarding. Aircraft mechanics typically work in teams and are able to see the results of their labor every time a plane takes off or lands safely. In addition, they can take pride in knowing that they are helping to keep the skies safe for both passengers and crew members. For those who are looking for a stable career with job security, becoming an aircraft mechanic is a great choice. #ais #advancedinnovativesolutions #nowhiring
