🇧🇪 Thrilled to Announce the Launch of the BELGICA Study! 🧠 I am happy to share that our randomized study, BELGICA, has received funding from the KCE! BELGICA will evaluate whether delivering radiotherapy in a more focused manner for patients with glioblastoma can reduce side effects and improve quality of life. The study will be opened in 23 centers across Belgium. This project originates from the Belgian Radiation Oncology Group (BROG) and will be sponsored by Cliniques universitaires Saint-Luc. A special thanks to: -The members of the BROG Neuro-Oncology Working Group for their help in the development of the study: Tom Boterberg, Jean-François Daisne, Maarten Lambrecht, Martinive Philippe, Paul Meijnders. -The 23 collaborating centers across Belgium for their enthusiasm in joining the project. -The Clinical Trial Centre, under the direction of Dominique Van Ophem, for their continuous support and expertise: Floriane Adriaens, Elise Bays, Isabelle Beaufay, Alix. Collard, Kevin Pilger, Benoît Plichon, Aline van Maanen. -Our funder, KCE Trials, for believing in the importance of this research. I am also happy to welcome Chloë De Laet as project manager for BELGICA!

KCE Trials is delighted to announce the funding of the BELGICA study: achieving a BEtter outcome through Limiting the GlIoblastoma Clinical tArget volume (KCE-231426). This study seeks to determine whether radiotherapy could be given in a more focused manner, safely reducing the Clinical Target Volume to decrease the volume of brain being irradiated and therefore decrease treatment toxicity, in patients with glioblastoma. The investigators hope this will be as effective while reducing side effects and improving quality of life.   Congratulations to the Sponsor Cliniques universitaires Saint-Luc and the Chief Investigator Dr. Dario DI PERRI. The study aims to recruit 347 participants in 23 sites.   More info on the study on the KCE website: https://lnkd.in/eyxXi-4e   #KCETrials #ClinicalTrials #ClinicalResearch
