This week our customer spotlight is... ✈️ Southwest Airlines! After our team analyzed Southwest’s current application for tracking basic equipment issuances at various stations, it was quickly evident that the inventory check-in/out process was inefficient, time-consuming, and desperately needed a custom interface with advanced features. Trinity developed a custom user-facing interface 💻, to complement the existing application, eliminate constraints 🚫 and streamline the overall process. Ultimately providing an effective, cost-conscious 💵 solution within a very short amount of time. The results speak for themselves: ✅ Users can now conduct inventory transactions in a quick, easy-to-use custom interface. ✅ Drastically reduced the amount of data entry and clicks. ✅ Additional error checking added an extra layer of governance and security to the process. Dan Schiesser, who works in Ground Ops at Southwest says: “Whether it’s a small add-on functionality, or a major project, Trinity proves to be versatile and able to adapt to our needs. They approach each initiative with a professional manner, strategic vision, and are very easy to work with.” Find out for yourself how Trinity can improve your business processes at 🌐 www.trinityis.com. ⛱️ ✈️ As we gear up for the bustling summer travel season, knowing an airplane will arrive early can make all the difference! With the right tool to transform this rich real-time flight data into actionable insights, you can boost efficiency in your ground operations, ensuring passengers get to their destinations on time. So, what would you do with those extra 5 minutes? I'm happy to hear your thoughts! #aviationindustry #software #worldofinform
What would you do with 5 more minutes to do the turn? 🤔 As a ground handler, you are responsible for ensuring a seamless aircraft turnaround. Your team's efficiency is your secret weapon, and timing is everything. Now, imagine the ripple effect when a flight arrives 5 minutes earlier than expected. That's an opportunity for efficiency, wouldn't you say? But only if you're well prepared... In airport operations, an early arrival is as challenging as a delay. Without the right tools, these 'extra' minutes could slip through your fingers, unused and unproductive. This is where the dynamic duo of FlightAware's real-time predictive data and INFORM GmbH - Optimization Software's GroundStar products comes into play. Together, they're not just a solution; they're a revolution in ground handling operations. 🔍 How Does It Work? 🔍 ✈️ With FlightAware's real-time data, we get accurate, up-to-the-minute updates on flight arrivals. Knowing a flight will be at the gate 5 minutes earlier than expected is a game-changer. How do we capitalize on it? Enter GroundStar – INFORM’s advanced software. 🖥️ GroundStar takes this real-time flight data and turns it into actionable insights. Your team is informed and ready at the gate the moment the aircraft touches down to spring into action. This additional time optimizes every aspect of the turnaround process. Using this early insight enables you to adjust your plans proactively, saving valuable time in the turn, enhancing transparency and efficiency. >> Curious? It was exciting to meet Airline customers from different parts of the world and Boeing data experts from across the Enterprise at the In-Service Data Conference at Newport Beach hosted by Boeing-Customer Support Team. The various topics that were presented were very informative and showed how in-service data from Operators are used within Boeing to drive efficiencies in airline operation. My team members @Tak Lee and Kim Brethauer presented the ways in which we leverage in-service data to proactively identify safety risks/hazards that in turn will enable us to enhance the safety of our products. Thanks to the Customer Support Leadership Team Eddie Castro, Gevik Sardarbegians, M.S., P.E. Luca Cigolini Kevin Hsu for giving us the opportunity to showcase some of the Safety analytics portfolio and for providing us a platform to advocate for increased data sharing that will help grow collaboration with Operator, minimize the risk and advance product safety. #SMS #SafetyFirst #JustCulture #DataSharing #PredictiveAnalytics #

Looking for a brief summary of success stories in the making on the topic of airlines deploying modern examples of "artificial intelligence"? Julie Weed's story for today's New York Times will probably satisfy your needs: https://lnkd.in/gMcygHHk My only quibble with Weed's story is there is no actual detail about the path knowledge transfer took between a decision to build and replace solutions already in place with ConnectionSaver and the other examples in the story and the finished product. Was the whole process an internal matter, meaning top level information technology (IT) management coming up with the notion to go forward, with the delivery based on internal developers? Or were consulting businesses included in the knowledge transfer effort? Weed does mention one consulting business - WNS, but I think there are other consulting businesses working with the airlines Weed mentions - United Airlines, American Airlines, Alaska Air. What do other readers think? #artificialintelligence #thenewyorktimes #unitedairlines #aiimplementers
