Validating Concepts: A User-Centered Approach Today, I learned valuable techniques for validating concepts with users: 👉 Guided Walkthrough: Walk users through the design, step-by-step, to observe their reactions and gather feedback. 👉 Active Observation: Focus on observing user behavior and avoiding leading questions. 👉 Encourage Thinking Out Loud: Prompt users to share their thoughts and reasoning. 👉 Avoid Imposing Solutions: Let users explore and offer their own interpretations. 👉 Ask Follow-up Questions: Delve deeper into specific areas of interest. 👉 Take Detailed Notes: Document key observations, insights, and user quotes. By following these guidelines, we can gain valuable insights and make informed design decisions. #UXDesign #UserValidation #DesignThinking #UXResearch #UIUX

Ever have one of those moments using a product where you just want to scream 'WHY IS THIS SO HARD?' Yep, that's UX friction. 😩 Common Examples: - Confusing onboarding that leaves you unsure what to do next. - Pricing information that's hidden or requires way too many clicks. - Error messages that make you feel dumb instead of helping you fix the problem. Tip: ✨✨✨ Next time you hit that UX wall, channel your inner designer Instead of just rage-quitting, ask yourself: What's the root cause of my frustration? Tag a fellow founder or designer who would appreciate a UX friction vent session. Let's commiserate together! 😂 #saasdesign #customerexperience #productdesign #uxdesign

Ever run a UX workshop that fell flat? 😅 I've been there. But after 200+ client projects, I've cracked the code. 🔓 The secret? It's not about fancy tools. It's about psychology. 🧠 Here's how to make your next UX workshop unforgettable: 1. Set clear objectives (not just "brainstorming") 2. Mix up activities every 20 minutes 3. Use physical movement to boost energy 4. Create a "no judgment" zone for wild ideas 5. End with actionable next steps Remember: Great workshops build stronger teams and spark innovation. 💡 Want my full guide on running killer UX workshops? 📚 Comment "Workshop Magic" and I'll share the link! ✨ #UXDesign #WorkshopTips #TeamInnovation #UserExperience

Did you know that most users skip the learning curve and dive straight into using a product without exploring its full potential? 📱💻 This behavior, known as the Paradox of the Active User, highlights how users prioritize getting tasks done now rather than learning how to optimize their experience in the long term. Understanding this paradox is essential for designing experiences that are both effective and user-friendly. Don’t miss out on these valuable insights! 👀 👉 Swipe through the slides and let us know how you address this paradox in your designs! #UXDesign #UserExperience #ActiveUserParadox #UIUX #DesignThinking #UserBehavior #UXResearch #HumanCenteredDesign #ProductDesign #DesignInsights #TechDesign #UserCenteredDesign

In user experience design, psychological principles greatly shape the interactions between users and technology. One of the most popular principles is Cognitive bias. We have other cognitive biases but today I’m delving into the Decoy Effect. - Drop this emoji in the comment section 🤯 if you’ve fallen for this before! - Also, share if you’ve encountered anything like this or similar to this online and offline. - Want to see more of this? 🧠 Get Inside Users' Heads! 🧠 I don’t need to sell how important user research is, so lemme just cut to the chase on how to make the most of it. Firstly, define the goal & then…. 🔍 Ask the Right Questions -Focus on what you want to learn, not just creating fancy personas -Concrete questions = Actionable answers! 🛠️ Pick the Right Method Quantitative = Numbers 📊 | Qualitative = Insights 🧠, but for real insights, go qualitative — user-interviews, lab tests, etc. 👀 Be There See the real users struggle in action, notice their expressions. -Just Observe them navigate. 📝 Capture EVERYTHING Notice what they do, not what they say because sometimes there’s strong dissonance between user’s actions and their words 🔬 Generate Testable Hypotheses Here we come to the Iteration cycle . Test, learn, modify 🔄 Note: User research is a journey- stay curious all along. ‼️ Don’t forget that business goals and user needs go hand in hand- it’s a game of balancing them both! #UXResearch #EmpathyInDesign #DesignThinking #UserExperience #ProductDesign #HumanCenteredDesign #Usability #UXUI

A few weeks ago I went thrifting, it is one of my favorite things to do. Every thrift is a new opportunity to uncover some hidden gems. It’s also an opportunity to look beyond the surface and repurpose items. UX research is very similar. You dig through data, observe behavior, and uncover insights. One insight might change how we think about a product. Hence the hidden gem. Thrifting like UXR requires empathy, adaptability, and resourcefulness. You never know what you might discover, you may find a gem!💎 #UXResearch #UserExperience #Thrifting #innovation

Today, I conducted a session observing users as they navigated through my latest design. The insights were illuminating! 🌟 Watching real interactions, spotting friction points, and hearing direct feedback is invaluable. It’s these moments that refine our work and truly make it shine. I’m curious, fellow designers and product enthusiasts, how do you integrate user feedback into your design iterations? #UsabilityTesting #UserExperience #UXDesign #UserFeedback #ProductDesign #DesignThinking #UIUX #UserCentricDesign

🚀 Just wrapped up an amazing workshop on "User Perspective in Design" last week, and it was truly eye-opening! Diving deep into understanding how users experience and interact with products has given me a fresh outlook on design thinking. Learning to prioritize the user's perspective not only enhances usability but also fosters stronger connections with the people we design for. Ready to bring these insights into my work and create more intuitive, impactful experiences! Big thank you to Regina Bernhaupt for leading such an insightful session! :) #UserPerspective #DesignThinking #ContinuousLearning #ProductDesign #UXDesign
