Where there's a Willow, there's a way. As Julian Kelly explains in the announcement video, we used the newly unveiled Willow processor to conclusively show that error rates can improve exponentially as we include more qubits in an error correcting code. https://lnkd.in/gFUreWX9. We observed logical qubit lifetimes on Willow that are significantly larger than the lifetimes of the underlying physical qubits, and we performed an unprecedented demonstration of real-time error decoding!
