🌟🐴 Let's Talk About Horse Language! 🐴🌟 Did you know that our equine companions speak a unique language of their own? Their body language and signals reveal so much about their emotions and intentions. Here are a few key signals to help you understand them better: Ears Forward: When you see a horse with its ears perked up, it’s a good sign! They’re curious and engaged, ready to explore what’s around them. Tail Swishing: A swishing tail can be a clue that your horse is feeling a bit annoyed or impatient. They might just need a moment alone or a little extra attention! Lowered Head: If a horse lowers its head, it’s typically a sign of relaxation. This means they feel safe and comfortable in their space – a great time for bonding! Pawing the Ground: Notice a horse pawing at the ground? This often means they’re feeling restless or frustrated. They might be ready for some action or just want to express their eagerness! Licking and Chewing: When a horse is licking or chewing, they’re usually processing their experience. This behavior often indicates they’ve learned something new or are simply relaxed after a good session. By paying attention to these signals, we can deepen our connection with these amazing animals! SOMETHING'S HAPPENING HERE... (AKA WHEN ANIMALS WILL DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO WAKE YOU UP) I will post more on my blog about this as there's too much to post here. But this is something I learned years ago (from wild birds): “Contrary to popular belief, we don’t dive-bomb people to be cruel or protective of our young; we are sometimes trying to catch someone’s attention and wake them up to a problem in their life that needs to be fixed and is causing them misery. Our ways appear crude to the human perception. Our messages are not understood because humans could never fathom that they have any meaning, or that we might know something that they don’t about themselves." AND FOR THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS, I'VE ENCOUNTERED HORSE AFTER HORSE ACTING OUT ONLY FOR A PARTICULAR PERSON (yes pain and hind gut ulcers were ruled out first). Here, one horse sums it up briefly: SPIRIT (known as the sassy horse): "Artifice will not do here. Hiding emotions=poison. I will not tolerate falsehood. I’m here to bring you all to truth. When I ‘misbehave’ it’s because I am catching you in a lie to yourself” Animals are increasingly stepping forward and getting in our faces for the thoughts, emotions, beliefs and behaviors that keep us small, fearful, cut off and in a state of conflict, anxiety, sadness, etc. Horses, especially, will even risk "being the bad guy" and being sold in order for us to see the truth. So before you think there's something wrong with your horse or "they just want to be with someone else" ....look a little deeper.
