I'm thrilled to share that I've authored a chapter in the groundbreaking textbook "Public Health in Sub-Saharan Africa: Social Epidemiological Perspectives"! This pioneering book is the first Social Epidemiology textbook from a Sub-Saharan African context, and I'm honored to be part of this project. My chapter, "Exploring the Current Trends in Social Epidemiology and the Urgent Need for Action in Sub-Saharan Africa," delves into the complex relationships between social determinants of health, health outcomes, and disease prevalence. I examine the evolving dynamics of societies and the critical role of social epidemiology in addressing health disparities. This journey began with the guidance of Prof. John Fulton and Jonathan Ling Prof. Jonathan Ling, who entrusted me with this privilege. Through rigorous training and revisions, I gained invaluable insights from these erudite scholars. The textbook is now available online, and I invite you to explore the fascinating world of social epidemiology. https://lnkd.in/edSN7dfb Let's work together to improve health outcomes and reduce disparities in Sub-Saharan Africa! #SocialEpidemiology #PublicHealth #SubSaharanAfrica #HealthEquity #GlobalHealth"
