This is “Hardcore 94.” Imagine being a kid growing up in Compton in the 90s. Life is hard enough. Sprinkle in some Zombies and Aliens on top and this is what you got. This is a bit inspired by my childhood love of 90s hip hop and horror and based on a current feature film I’m developing. Main AI tools used were: Runway Gen 3 Alpha Luma AI Dream Machine Midjourney For imagery Magnific AI for upscaling ElevenLabs for Voice and Sound And FilmConvert for color and film grain finishing. Boyz n the hood 2024
I've watched this a few times. Very impressive work Dave Clark
Why I thought that was Mario in the beginning
Nice - never heard of FilmConvert, and was about to ask how you achieved the color grading with Runway Gen 3. Excellent work👏🏼
This could be an amazing video game - assuming you can get the music licenses from everyone in NWA and some upper tier game directors. You should pitch it to Ice Cube and/or Rockstar Games.
No need to imagine. I was bussed into East LA through Compton. Lots of friends I went to school with lived there.. This is actually pretty spot on! :P
Love the genre mashup!
I'd watch this series tonight ✓

5moPart 2: School wasn't no escape neither. Teachers ain't really care, felt like they already wrote us off. But I had a couple homies who always had my back. We'd mess around, try to stay outta serious mess, but sometimes you couldn't help it. Fights would break out, or you'd see some dude gettin' jumped. And you knew, just knew, one wrong move and you could be next. It made you tough, but also scared, even if you ain't show it. Even with all that, there was good times too. Summer nights, we'd be out late, just kickin' it, tellin' jokes, playin' ball under the streetlights. Music was our escape, Dre and Snoop blastin' from every car that rolled by. Dreamin' of somethin' better, hopin' we could make it out one day. But deep down, we all knew the odds. Compton was a beast, man, and it took everything just to survive another day.
