Airline brands need a sense of place! A large unseen part of #airline brands are the cities & countries that they are associated with! These places give airlines roots, purpose & and a clear sense of identity! Take #abudhabi for example - the focus has been on building high quality infrastructure, attractions & a unique sense of place. It is a case of quality over sheer numbers! 📌Yas Island - for families & the young at heart 📌Saadiyat - for everything on the cultural side 📌 Religious tourism with Sheikh Zayed Mosque The Hindu temple is a good example of how you can attract niche segments as well - #india 📌 Events - corporate, music, sports & everything in between - Have you got your Coldplay tickets? Interesting to also take a glance at Abu Dhabi Airports recent 9 months traffic report 📌 Increase of passenger numbers of 31.2% YOY! But what is also important to note is the almost 50/50 split between point to point & connecting traffic! Airline Brands need a sense of place and time as well! And airports make a mega impact! Abu Dhabi is on the fast track! After-all, it is a super fast changing world out there!
