A Post-Adoption Contact Agreement (PACA)—sometimes called an open adoption agreement—is a meaningful way to ensure continued connection and communication between birth parents, adoptive families, and adopted children after adoption is finalized. It can include visitation schedules, communication plans, or other arrangements tailored to the needs of the child.
