We are all frogs being boiled alive in a big pot of government-imposed mass surveilance. If you don’t believe me, go and listen to Constanze’s talk about mass surveillance by our friendly democratic governments. The scale of all of it wanted me to get out of the tech scene completely. The things that were happening around Snowden or Assange, or on a smaller scale the Tornado Cash developers Pertsev, Semenov and Storm; or anonymity/privacy Monero blockchain maintainer Spagni tipped me over the edge. I’d rather spend time meeting people around the globe while travelling on a motorbike. Rrather than being a part of big tech contributing to mass surveilance, or being in the technical resistance to fight it. Kudos to Constanze Kurz for her work, I admire all her dedication and courage to fight ... for freedom and personal space to be honest. Great talk at the Nextcloud conference in Berlin, well done team Nextcloud. P.S. that question by the gentleman from the crowd about how different on a scale of 1 to 100% the mass surveillance is in the west compared to China, and Constanze’s response about “the difference is how they use the data there vs. in our world where we can still take it and fight it in courts ... ‘but purely on a technical level, we’re at 80% there’” ... Let that sink in for a moment.

This is a great example of why post crash diagnostic scans are important. If there is EDR data will it show brake switch status as on or off? Will it show any accelerator pedal % (driver applied). A "few" things (switches, sensors) have to be "bad" for something like this to occur so DTCs (diagnostic trouble codes) or the lack thereof will assist the investigator in answering the questions related to a mechanical "failure" that may have caused or contributed to the incident. #ACM #CDR #EDR #DTC #diagnostic
