I've written on the various interests of Uganda in Eastern DRC for EGMONT - Royal Institute for International Relations, and what this means for their relation with M23:

We Have a Date: 19th August 2024 at 14:30 South African Planning Institute (SAPI) Planning Africa 2024 Conference at Southern Sun Hotel Elangeni, Durban, South Africa. Let's talk about one of many elephants in the room: 'District Development Model One Plan One Budget within an Intergovernmental Relations System in South Africa.' Q1: What is this DDM? Yini le DDM ngizwa abantu bekhuluma ngayo? Q2: Will the DDM realise its promise to South African citizens from the 7th Government Administration (GNU), in the light of the current IGR system in South Africa? Q3: Perhaps, first things first, is the DDM designed to succeed as some decentralization of a special type? Me and you, one thing is certain, we leave no stone unturned. Basizwa ngembali. Honored to have taken part in the Multi-stakeholders Committee Meeting organized by the UN System jointly with the Ministries of External relations, of Economy, and of Decentralization. The aim was to understand the implementation of the Cameroon Strategic Development Plan SND30, and how partners help acheive its Goals. The results of the implementation of this Strategy are commendable, even if many challenges remain. #unsystemincameroon #SND30implementation

We’ve launched a 'CSO Manual for Engagement with Regional Economic Communities'! 🔗 https://lnkd.in/dt-HAGss As mentioned in our previous post, the Abuja Treaty identifies #civilsociety as crucial in mobilizing #Africa's resources for economic integration. As such, relations of cooperation shall be established, with a view to encourage the involvement of the African peoples in the process of economic integration and mobilizing their technical, material, and financial support. African Union ECOSOCC is the mechanism which has been set up to facilitate this engagement. The manual equips CSOs with the technical skills needed for effective policy engagement with RECs/RMs, helping to influence agendas, processes, and policies for inclusive #development across Africa. #ECOSOCC20
