Migrating extensive data to the cloud is no small feat. Warner Bros. Discovery did it without breaking a sweat—or their dashboards. How? By taking a measured, dbt-powered approach that delivered value along the way. Here’s what made their strategy successful: ☁️ A phased migration strategy Instead of moving everything at once, Warner Bros. Discovery started with foundational datasets and expanded from there—adopting a "core-to-cloud" approach. 🛠️ Refactoring business logic with dbt The team transformed years of complex, legacy SQL into clean, modular, and reusable transformations—laying a scalable foundation for their cloud workflows. 📊 Minimizing disruption to the business By using testing, version control, and incremental transformations, they maintained data quality and consistency so stakeholders could keep trusting their dashboards. Spreadsheets might have been the go-to for financial planning once, but they’ve had their time. It’s almost 2025 and employees need smarter, faster tools. That’s why I’m excited to co-host a webinar introducing Converge FP&A, powered by IBM Planning Analytics on AWS—a modern solution for FP&A challenges. On Thursday, December 5th, at 2:00 PM ET, I’ll be joined by Rochelle Manns, who brings incredible insights into cloud modernization. Together, we’ll explore how Converge FP&A makes real-time data integration, AI-driven insights, and scalable decision-making not just possible, but seamless. If you’re ready to break free from spreadsheet overload (or at least send them into well-deserved retirement), join us: https://bit.ly/3AO5Tf5 #FinancialPlanning #DataIntegration #AI #AWS #IBM #DataAnalytics
