This is why I generally dislike marketing… Because most of it is actually just bullsh*** served on a pretty plate. marketing tells us what we want to hear but it’s almost always at the expense of the truth. No one can expect me to believe that Mr. Beasts Feastables Chocolate Bars are in fact, “the worlds best chocolate”. But marketing’s been telling us stuff that is arguably untrue under the guise of fact for centuries. And this is exactly why brand has taken over lately (and will always trump marketing IMO.) Because brand can’t be forced or faked, at least not for long. Successful branding is a product of consistent and repetitive emotional honesty, something marketing isn’t built to do. And despite what the marketing says, it’s brand that’s actually selling these chocolate bars. Because without that Mr. Beast logo slapped on this thing most people would even entertain buying it.

What is marketing ? Some say advertising is marketing and some say branding is While all these are associated with marketing but there are not one and same Let’s understand in simple way If the circus is coming to town and you paint a sign saying circus coming on Sunday that’s advertising If the elephant do some stunts that’s publicity as the locals will talk about it And at the end the circus get sales If you can plan whole thing that’s marketing Therefore marketing is the strategy you use for getting your ideal target audience to know you, like you and trust you enough to become a customer P.S. Do you market your service/ product

Subliminal marketing goes beyond the obvious. Imagine this: when you see an actor savouring a glass of whiskey, it's not just the whiskey being sold... It's the allure of embodying the lifestyle 🥃 And those dentists flashing pearly whites in toothpaste commercials? More often than not, they're actors, not actual dentists 🤫 Here's the golden nugget: if you're aiming to sell something, don't just push a product (yes, I'm talking to you) 👀 Weave a compelling story, create a world where your product lives and breathes Sell the experience, the emotion, the dream. That's the heart of impactful marketing.

This weekend, I took a road trip that was about a 6 hour drive each way and saw a billboard along the way advertising Buc-ee’s like this one I found on the internet (I didn’t get a photo since I was driving). At first, it made me do the math. If I’m driving 70 mph, how long would I have to hold it? Then it made me laugh. I realized that even on my long road trip, I still wouldn’t be passing the Buc-ee’s they’re advertising. And then, it made me realize just how genius their marketing really is. Marketing is all about understanding the pain customers are facing and sharing how you can solve their problems. Good marketing creates brand fanaticism (which Buc-ee's has no shortage of) and works best when it’s simple and easy to understand so it’s memorable. It’s also about helping potential customers understand their pain well before they’re ready to buy from you. So, while I still haven’t visited a Buc-ee’s, it’s on my road trip Buc-et list now.

I see good marketing campaigns, based on the daily lives of their consumers. It's done repeatedly, and for the good. A lot about the consumer is uncovered through scouring the 'Market.' How does the consumer live, talk, eat... And it's important. Alike connects better than Unlike. Marketing uses it to create 'Tribes.' The emotional impact is strong - so the consumer tends to buy from the same brand repeatedly. Better options are shunned once the consumer is associated with a brand - or a tribe. Marketing makes it happen.

How do you analyze market trends to stay ahead of the competition? ✏️ I noticed that many marketing trends are often rooted in previous successes. If we boil down marketing to its core, it's really about competing based on how people see things. This idea suggests that marketing is essentially about persuasion. Our thoughts about our favorite products, brands, or companies are mostly shaped by how they influence us. So, marketing is mainly about understanding people and affecting their choices.

Many people define marketing and set goals for it differently. In my opinion, the primary goal of marketing is not to directly sell a product or service. Instead, it's about positioning the brand as a leader in people's minds. When people think about that service or product, they should naturally turn to that brand. Marketing is a marathon, not 100m run.

Why do you think they say that marketing is everywhere? One of the main reasons that marketing is everywhere is because of intense competition among brands. Consumers can shift to another brand in seconds because Nowadays consumers have many options. That's why brands invest more money in marketing so that they can stay connected with the customer.

Marketing is not a battle of products, it’s a battle of perception. It’s an illusion. There is no objective reality. There are no facts. There are no best products. All that exists in the world of marketing are perceptions in the minds of the customer or prospect. The perception is the reality. Everything else is an illusion. What some marketing people see as the natural laws of marketing are based on a flawed premise that the product is the hero of the marketing program and that you’ll win or lose based on the merits of the product. This is why the natural, logical way to market a product is invariably wrong. Marketing is a battle of perceptions, not products. Marketing is the process of dealing with those perceptions.
