There will always be someone who has more privilege than you. There will always be someone who has less privilege than you. So you've got to know how to operate in both scenarios and be agile in switching back and forth depending on the scenario and your environment. The more time you spend in the more privileged area, the more responsibility you have to be an effective ally. The more time you spend in the less privileged area, the more energy you need to spend in advocating for yourself and enrolling allies in transforming our broken systems. In today's business world, inclusion and challenging status quos are crucial for success and growth. Interestingly, this concept is not new. Consider the radical inclusivity of Jesus, as seen in Luke. His followers included: - Individuals from the margins, like the mentally ill and criminals - Those rejected by society, such as prostitutes and widows - The often overlooked, including children and the sick By embracing those on the fringes, Jesus turned societal power structures on their head.
