As leaders, it's crucial to define what sets us apart. -Peter Begg For me, it boils down to three key elements: people, culture, and programs. At Lions, we've built our strategy around quality and food safety, starting with the right people in the right roles. Without them, even the best programs are ineffective. #Leadership #Differentiation #PeopleFirst #CultureMatters #ProgramExecution

Empathy is for all levels of your organization! Truly transformative leaders know the power of human-centric skills at work.
In my work with The Villages, the leadership teams participate in the supervisor trainings. In contrast, I remember a Handle with Care Consulting session that I did a few years ago with a company. It was billed as an "all-staff" event. However, when the session came, all of the members of the executive team failed to show up. "Where was top leadership? Why didn't they think they needed to be here?" was one of the indignant (and observant) comments on a post-session survey. Yes, empathy matters for supervisors and for middle management. But leadership errs (and creates awful optics) if they think that this is not a skill-set that matters at the top. Love seeing you there, Brian Laskey, MNM, SPHR, Shannon Schumacher, Nancy Gwin, Amy Sanderson and team! #empathy #empathyatwork #handlewithcare #speaker #trainer #leadership

Last week, we held the first session of our Rainbow Leadership Programme, and it was an inspiring start! 🎉 The focus of the session was ‘Building and Maintaining Culture and Climate,’ a topic that sparked a lively and insightful debate among our leaders. One of the key discussions was centered around the famous quote: “Culture eats strategy for breakfast.” 🍽️ It was fascinating to hear different perspectives on the role of culture versus strategy in shaping successful teams and schools. While strategies are essential for planning and direction, many of our leaders felt that without a strong, positive culture, even the best strategies can fall short. We’d love to hear from you! How important is culture in your workplace, and what are some examples of positive culture in action? Let’s continue the conversation—please share your thoughts in the comments! 👇 #Leadership #PositiveCulture #TeamBuilding #RainbowLeadershipProgramme”
