What an incredible few days we had last week at #ISPOREurope 2024 in Barcelona! This wasn’t just another conference - it was a bold platform for sparking ideas, breaking the mould and challenging the status quo in healthcare decision-making. Some key highlights that fuelled our #rebelthinking: 🌟 Rethinking readiness for EU JCA The conversations around evidence generation requirements pushed boundaries and made it clear: success lies in preparation. For those navigating this terrain, our #PICOPredict solution isn’t just a tool—it’s your compass in an ever-evolving landscape. 🤝 Connections that matter The energy at the Decisive hub was electric. Familiar faces and new connections reminded us that true impact happens when we engage fearlessly and speak the truths our clients need to hear. 💡 Empowered leadership at the Women Leaders Networking Dinner Thank you to the trailblazing women who joined us for a night of honest dialogue, collaboration and mutual inspiration. Together, we’re reshaping the narrative and driving action. Events like ISPOR don’t just validate what we do - they energise our rebellion against the ordinary. We’re here to disrupt, to innovate and to deliver solutions that drive meaningful change for patients worldwide. A massive shout out to our amazing Decisive Consulting Ltd team - whether on the stand, presenting posters, or coordinating behind the scenes, you brought the #rebelstreak alive. To those who joined us: thank you for being part of the rebellion. Until next time, let’s keep pushing boundaries and rethinking the future. #MarketAccess #HEOR #HTA #Jointherebellion #teamdecisive #ShowyourRebelstreak

As we approach World Creativity and Innovation Day this Sunday, April 21st, we are reminded of the crucial role that creativity and innovation play in solving some of the world’s most pressing challenges. Established by the United Nations, this day highlights the importance of creativity in all aspects of human development, from economic growth to sustainable development. Recent insights from the 2024 Edelman Trust Barometer also highlight the importance of trust in adopting new technologies and underscore the significant responsibilities of businesses in this ecosystem. The Barometer shows that scientists and peers are seen as the most credible sources for information on innovations, emphasising the need for expert-led introductions. Additionally, businesses are trusted above other entities, including NGOs and governments, to responsibly integrate these innovations into society. According to the Barometer, building trust in innovation requires a balanced approach focusing on managing societal impacts, strengthening partnerships between businesses and governments to address ethical concerns, engaging transparently with the community, and empowering individuals by involving them in the innovation process. At Sciety, we are committed to supporting the growth of innovative life science and health tech companies in the Nordic region. Our mission is to contribute to taking cutting-edge scientific research and innovations and translating them into products and services that can benefit society and bring about a healthier future. We invest in companies that have the potential to make a real difference in people’s lives, with the philosophy that financial return and impact should go hand in hand. This past Thursday and Friday, Milan wasn't just a city of fashion but the beating heart of transformative leadership and expanding horizons in healthcare at the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association European Leadership Summit. 🔗 Mary Stutts, MHA shared the HBA Manifesto and from this we talked, we listened, and above all, we committed to real change. Equity in healthcare isn't merely a goal; it's a journey we're on together, with each step demanding our unwavering commitment. 🚀 Finding our Moonshot: Inspired by the incomparable Alicia C. Staley, "find your moonshot" wasn't just advice—it was a rallying cry. A reminder that our ambitions should scare us a little and excite us a lot. Her story was an inspiring and motivational and highlighted the need to continue to focus on patient journeys and advocacy. 📄 Pushing Forward with Data: Something that stood out to me across all out sessions. We're at a crossroads for document and data retention policies as well as the level of information and the way we share with patients. The takeaway? We MUST do better in empowering patients with the information they need for informed health decisions. 🛤️ AI and the Consumer Journey: The role of AI in healthcare transcends innovation—it's about understanding, empathy, and closing the gaps in the healthcare consumer journey. 💪 Vulnerability as a Strength: Every speaker shared their truth, their challenges, and their victories. Their vulnerability wasn't a liability; it was their superpower in leading with authenticity. 💡 FemTech's Moment: Yasmin Baba reminded us of the urgency in closing the 17-year healthcare data gap for women. FemTech isn't just revolutionary; it's essential. 🤝 A Collective Mission: If there's one echo from the halls of #HBAELS24, it was clear - we must work together. All companies, all leaders, united towards a healthier future. 🖥️ AI as our Ally: Technology, particularly AI, holds the key to not just better patient journeys but in bridishing the deeply set information and healthcare provision gaps. The HBA European Leadership Summit didn't just present a vision; it presented a path forward—a mandate for exceptional leadership through empathy, technology, and unwavering commitment to equity. Milan was more than a backdrop; it was where visions for a healthier tomorrow got clearer. Let's carry this inspiration forward. Looking forward to next year's event in Dublin! 💡🌍 I loved seeing everyone in person and the opportunity to meet the other members of the HBA Circle of Advisors that Kathrin Schoenborn founded and launched this year for entrepreneur HBA members. Tatyana Staneva, Dr. Baltrukovich Natalya, MBA, PhD, Karolien Huybrechts, Sandra van Londen, Kristina Hentschel, MBA, Nicole Yost, Sophie Smolders, PhD And our amazing #HBABrussels team Diba Rahimi Yeganeh, Stephanie Schneider, Lieseke Cortoos, and many others! ❤️ #HBAELS24 #HBABrussels #HealthcareInnovation #Leadership #HealthEquity #AIinHealthcare #FemTech #HBAMilan

I recently had the opportunity to attend my first Healthcare Businesswomen's Association annual conference , and it was an incredibly inspiring experience. The event fostered an inclusive atmosphere, allowing me to connect, learn, and network with women leaders across the healthcare ecosystem. Here are my key takeaways from some of the insightful sessions and panel discussions I attended 1. HBA Women of Color Wellness Summit: A powerful session focused on overcoming maladaptations to become the best version of yourself. We also watched the film 'Onboard: Story of Black Women on Boards' and learned about pathways to board membership for women of color 2. Transformational Leaders on the Frontline of Digital Truth in Healthcare: With 59 million people turning to social media for health-related information, misinformation is a serious issue. It spreads six times faster than facts! Companies need to proactively own the narrative and build strategies around "know/like/trust" to combat misinformation 3. Health Equity by the Numbers - Bridging Data and Human Experience: This session defined health equity and highlighted the limitations of relying solely on quantitative data. The solution? Engaging community-based advocacy groups in policy-making to ensure a human-centered approach 4. Promising Practices for Transforming the Healthcare Industry through AI and Digital Technology: Key discussions revolved around AI ethics, trust, explainability, data quality, and selecting the right use cases for AI in healthcare. We also explored AI’s potential in drug discovery, radiology, and digital twins for clinical trials. 5. Next-Level Leadership: Developing the Mindset of a Transformational Leader: Shifting your mindset is crucial to becoming a leader who breaks barriers. Embracing discomfort, fostering agility, and positioning yourself as a trusted advisor are key to growth 6. From Idea to Impact: Funding Women in Health Innovation: Did you know that less than 2% of all VC investment goes to women-led companies? We had an impactful panel discussion on engaging with VCs, culminating in to the first HBA pitch competition - Shark Tank event where eight incredible women pitched their companies for investment Attending #HBAAC24 was a transformative experience, reinforcing the critical role of diversity, innovation, and leadership in driving the future of healthcare #HBAImpact #Network #Healthcare #Womenleaders
