📣 Exciting New Publication! 📑 "A Systematic Review of Clinical Pharmacy Key Performance Indicators for Hospital Inpatient Settings" authored by Lucas Magedanz, Hiolanda Lêdo Silva, Dayani Galato and Fernando Fernandez-Llimos  in International Journal of Clinical Pharmacy. Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/dPaApH6q This systematic review evaluated the quality of key performance indicators (KPIs) for clinical pharmacy using the Appraisal of Indicators through Research and Evaluation (AIRE) instrument. The findings revealed that KPIs for clinical pharmacy were often developed with insufficient evidence support and lacked proper piloting or validation. Additionally, patients and other healthcare professionals were not included in the consensus panels that developed these KPIs. The study highlights the need for future efforts to focus on creating an internationally standardized core outcome set. This would effectively measure the quality of clinical pharmacy services (CPS) and facilitate comparisons of their value with other healthcare activities. We are excited to announce the addition of eight new representatives to the Patient Engagement Collaborative (PEC), a joint initiative by the FDA and Clinical Trials Transformation Initiative (CTTI). These new members will bring diverse perspectives and experiences to enhance communication, education, and patient engagement in medical product regulation. The PEC, established in 2018, is a group of patient organizations and individual representatives who collaborate with the FDA to discuss ways to improve patient engagement. The new representatives were selected from 75 applications and will serve for two years, contributing to ongoing discussions on how patient perspectives can inform the clinical trials enterprise. https://bit.ly/4it7QP7
