Kaizen is a Japanese philosophy of continuous improvement through small, incremental changes. It focuses on enhancing efficiency, quality, and employee involvement, leading to better productivity and cost reduction in organizations. And it was very well explained in the post below.

Our Kaizen Path in Concrete Steps Continues In the previous blog, Pentti Enlund described the first five steps toward building true productivity. Now it's time for steps 6-10. Many publications on Lean highlight only seven steps, but this reflects a misunderstanding of Lean philosophy's deeper essence. Hierarchies have excluded "unsuitable" steps from their frameworks. With this 10-step method, significant cost savings, ergonomic improvements, and enhanced safety have been achieved in real-world business operations. However, the Kaizen-based collaboration model was eventually overshadowed by global "cheap" supply sources, which ultimately proved not so cheap. At the same time, the tacit knowledge about these result-producing models disappeared along with us from their original environments. This methodology cannot be learned through book knowledge alone. Years of practiced operating models are now available through our training offerings, based on the principle of action learning. In the future, Kaizen could be embedded in our evolving tacit knowledge AI offerings within the Mexwiser product family, allowing our expertise in cost management to be passed on in the form of tools. Of course, even then, training will be required as the means of transfer. However, the support we used to provide on the shop floor could become AI-assisted. We do, however, caution against the "unbearable lightness" of avoiding work. Leadership, dedicated time for development, and engaging employees in continuous improvement will still be essential. https://lnkd.in/ee65JZsW #kaizen, #costmanagement, #value-engineering
