#SHEPHERD project funded by EASA - European Union Aviation Safety Agency presented its consolidated results at the final dissemination event on April 23rd with an audience of more than 250 experts! If you are interested in discovering the results of the standards assessment related to unmanned aircraft systems (#UAS) operations and U-Space, visit the #EASA webpage: https://lnkd.in/dN43GVAN You will find: 🔸 SHEPHERD D3.2-D3.3 with the assessment of the second set of standards. 🔸A summary table mapping all requirements in the scope of the project with the standards assessed. 🔸The recording and the presentation from the webinar. 🙏 We take this occasion to thank EASA - European Union Aviation Safety Agency and the whole #SHEPHERD team for the past two years of incredible work and effort. “The drone industry is long awaiting the publication of a list of recommended standards to support an easier demonstration of compliance to the regulatory provisions – states Marco Ducci, SHEPHERD’s Project Manager (Deep Blue) – In this context, SHEPHERD represents a key effort to speed up this process and provide the drone industry a common reference for the development and operation of UAS to strengthen the EU leadership in this field”. Was great to be a part of the project, now onwards to the future of UAS!
Congratulations to the SHEPHERD "winning team" for this beautiful achievement in full coordination with EASA Natale Di Rubbo and his team, under the efficient leadership of Marco Ducci and Alexandra Florin (without forgetting the active role of Diego Fernández Varela)! I feel very proud of having been an active part of the Shepherd consortium and I am sure we will have new chances to meet and cooperate within this fascinating (still small...) UAS-rule-making world.
Congratulations to this great achievemen by this great and well known team !!!
