For some time, value-based care has been the way forward toward achieving the triple aim of healthcare. But it's also a burdensome administrative challenge. Great article in MedCity News today from Lalan Wilfong, M.D., an oncologist / hematologist at Texas Oncology, about the difficulties in setting up, managing, and scaling a value-based care initiative. In talking about how to expand value-based care via "third party enablers", Dr. Wilfong caught our eye (as well as mentioning DeepScribe partner CardioOne): "Third party enablers provide data analytics and other technology solutions to streamline the operational complexities of VBC, taking the responsibility to develop such tools off payers and providers’ plates."
