Living outside Silicon Valley and wondering what is going on here? From the outside, tech world operates according to the same rules as elsewhere: 👇 Young innovators build and meet at conferences to showcase their work and listen to panels and fireside chats from established innovators and investors. Only the dynamics is different. People open up about what they are building. Doors open faster. Information flows better. Motivation appears on its own. In this short video, I’d like to show you how this year’s edition of the famous San Francisco-based conference TechCrunch Disrupt looked. So, I internalized the fact that I’m an introvert and sometimes, less is more. I also realized that the essence of the “brand” of a company is in its clients, not in your casual contacts. Yes, you can spend your time shaking arbitrarily many hands… but your happy clients will speed up your networking efforts x10 even if you don’t leave your room. THE BR-DGE is an outreach program for technology transfer and transition (T3). The program is powered by Disruptive Technology Index (DTI), a California nonprofit. We support small businesses as they leverage the Small Business Administration’s SBIR/STTR program and aim to help further commercialize their dual-use technology efforts through programming and ecosystem building. On October 17, 2024, I2A Expo Day celebrated two additional I2A (Innovate to Accelerate) cohorts bringing together government stakeholders, venture capitalists, and industry professionals. The Alternative Positioning, Navigation and Timing and Digital Spaceport of the Future I2A cohorts saw 32 companies leverage nearly $60 million dollars in non-dilutive financing to develop innovative technologies addressing the most pressing problems in national space today. With the sector projected to grow from $630 billion in 2023 to $1.8 trillion by 2035, THE BR-DGE serves as the center of gravity supporting entrepreneurs building space capabilities for the rapidly growing space economy. If you look around, you might think that most quantum startups grow because they span out of a famous university or a wellknown research group. Qunnect never had those privileges, spinning out of a state university and from a relatively unknown, young group. In fact, I was the first PhD graduate of that group. This year alone we: 🚀 Won the PRISM award for our automated polarization compensation devices. 🚀 Published two peer-reviewed papers. 🚀 Demonstrated the most practical quantum entanglement network in the world. 🚀 Expanded GothamQ to a real data center in Manhattan. 🚀 Added two new products to our suit. 🚀 Generated more than $2M in sales revenue. 🚀 Deployed the world's first full solution Quantum rack for entanglement networks 🚀 Finalized CRADA and partnership with 3 Fortune500 companies and 2 major US agencies.
