#ECR2024: Leveling Up Radiology - a recap What a week! The ECR 2024 congress has come to an end for me, and it has been an incredible experience. I had the opportunity to engage in many valuable discussions with colleagues and experts from all over the world, and I learned a great deal about the latest developments in radiology. Some of my highlights from the congress aswell from the scientific and industrial side include: Exchange with the global clinical imaging service team: #MedicalImaging I was particularly impressed by the dedication and success of the clinical imaging service team. Their outstanding expertise, internal and now external core lab service support for imaging in clinical trials, studies and #MachineLearning development is a tremendous asset to study centers. Photon-counting CT #PCCT: A Young Technology with amazing potential due to enhanced image quality with reduced radiation dose, faster scans for improved patient comfort, more precise diagnoses and prevention of false positive results e.g. in cardiac imaging BUT increased amount of images Developments in #CardiacImaging : A crossfunctional approach. The rapid progress in this field is truly inspiring, and I am excited to see how it will transform patient care in the years to come. And...it will. Advancements of #AIinRadiology : The potential of AI to revolutionize radiology is immense, and I am eager to see how these tools will be implemented in clinical practice. #Innovation Advances in contrast agent development: New contrast agent-developments offer improved safety and efficacy, promising to enhance the quality of diagnostic imaging. Exciting new data presented this year. Looking forward to 2025 Thank you for the great exchange Priv.-Doz. Dr. Fabian Rengier Sabine Weckbach, Prof. Dr. med.
