The Lithuanian army is set to receive 27 additional Boxer wheeled armoured vehicles, manufactured by Artec GmbH, a joint venture between German defence companies Rheinmetall and KNDS Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG. The contract was signed on 11 October in Bonn, Germany, as announced by the OCCAR (Organisation for Joint Armament Co-operation)) in a published on social media. OCCAR has not disclosed specific figures regarding the agreement. The organisation stated that the contract includes a new variant of the Boxer vehicle, described as an engineering variant.
