If you are a writer or director, you've probably hit a wall at some point. I know I have, many times. And I’m not done hitting them. Sometimes it’s a struggle with story structure, or the plot is solid, but there isn’t enough feeling in the scenes. Or it’s struggling to complete a project or to start a daily writing practice or figure out how to communicate more effectively with collaborators or actors or producers. Whatever the struggle, it’s even harder when you feel like you have to figure it out by yourself. That’s how I've often felt. That’s part of what led me to creative consulting and coaching: it’s a form of support I rely on, and it’s made a huge difference for me over the years. I help writers and directors wherever they are stuck or want to grow. I draw on training and experience in different fields to tailor an approach that works for the individual I’m working with. And when I’m not the right fit, I say so, and help find someone better suited. If you want to learn more, drop me a line here or use the form on my website. I usually start with a short, free consultation to see if we’re a good fit. https://lnkd.in/et9CnWEb

Notes like these are always so affirming and remind me that I am exactly where I need to be, doing exactly what I need to be doing! I have so much gratitude for trusting my intuition, walking away from what does not feel aligned for me, and choosing what does feel aligned. Connecting to my tribe through La Belle Vie Academy’s coaching, course suites, and community - in all of our beauty and brilliance, awareness and thoughtfulness - is such a gift! Building an amazing space and place for community, connection, consistency, completion, and care is top tier! 10 out of 10 would recommend! WRITERS: (https://lnkd.in/gTTM2Fz8) “I really appreciate your attention to emotion and holding space to process academic harm. I appreciate your affirmation of my experiences and affirmation of my feelings. I REALLY appreciate that you keep the session on track and have clearly looked at my reflections and have an idea of what we should prioritize and also giving me insight into your rationality (you picked up on words that I used to describe how I was feeling about the **** thing that indicated this was important to address). This helps me coach myself and notice the language I’m using as indication of what I need. You also were very intentional about asking whether we needed more time to process and talk about this heavy stuff. It seemed both very receptive to what was happening with me in the moment and also providing guidance. Again, your insights into the writing process, the technical part of writing, and the politics of the field are extremely helpful!” (From a coaching client and member of La Belle Vie Writers. Poetically Professional We’ve often been told that #professional #content must be #concise, delivered in bullet points, with every word weighed to ensure #clarity and brevity—so the message lands quickly and #efficiently. But... what if I told you that there’s another way? To me, the most profound professional content emerges not from sterile, mechanical language, but from sentences that #breathe, #alive with #emotion and vibrant with the colors of life. It’s not just about solving problems with three bullet points. Sometimes, a single #word is the solution—a #thought released from its confines, a wild idea, or an unrealistically magical #belief that, when shared with love and #courage, can ignite #transformation. In my work as a #rebirth #coach, I’ve found that #resilience itself is poetic. Supporting someone across the bridge to a life of #meaning isn’t always a matter of methodical steps—it’s often about embracing a #mindset that is rich in poetic expression. That’s how I approach it. If this resonates with you, let’s exchange some poetic thoughts. #poetic #author #zeinadaroub #rebirthcoach #resilientexpert #interntionaltrainer #leadership #boldness #transition #hope

This isn’t an invitation to be rude or inconsiderate to others. Far from it. Being kind and gracious are great ways to extract well-being from every social interaction. Instead, this IS an invitation to be so firmly rooted in who you are, that any form of external validation is an added bonus. You don’t need it. #MayaTalks #MayaTalksMotivation #InternationalKeynoteSpeaker #Author #PublishedAuthor #Motivation #Inspiration DM “Join” to take part in my bi-weekly Motivation and Well-being Masterclass.

A powerful way to connect with someone is through vulnerability. An example of this is when you share something private, perhaps painful. To do this, you need a language - to describe your pain. If you haven't shared painful things - you probably haven't developed that particular language. Do you see how one thing leads to another? So, what is the missing key? Awareness. ⭐ Once you become aware of your experiences, you can begin to put them into words. Words that allow you to develop a certain language. A language of vulnerability - to connect deeply with others. Because that's what we all want - we long for it. We need it. Do you see how that works? ⭕️ .......................................................... Tap the 🔔 Follow or Connect for more content. *** “Nothing is more boring than technically perfect speech. Audiences can sense the difference between authenticity and artificiality, no matter how clear the words may be, which is why one should never memorise or read a speech exactly as it is written. Typically, speakers and actors strive for a natural delivery on stage, as artificiality does not foster connection. The normal irregularities and interruptions of casual speech should be maintained. Perfect speech is, in fact, imperfect. One of my favourite parts of vocal coaching is to include the natural imperfections of speech after the speaker has already mastered the message, so it doesn’t seem rehearsed. What sounds like a proficient impromptu speech is, in reality, extensively practiced.” This is just a sneak peek of what you’ll find in The Secret Power of the Voice and I’m beyond excited to be sharing more soon! 🤗 This book has been a collaborative journey of very talented people and I can’t wait for you to dive into its insights. Writing a first draft of your talk is intimidating. Here's how I tell my TEDx speakers to do it -- it's called the "Post-It" method and it always leads to a much better talk, faster. It's also pretty fun.

Does any of this sound familiar? --> You don’t share your opinions and stories with the world because you’re not quite sure if they’re valid or, quite frankly, important enough to share --> The idea of putting yourself out there and speaking your truth scares you but at the same time is something that you desperately wish you were doing --> You WANT to say what’s in your heart but don’t feel confident in your ability to say it in a way that will connect with other people --> The thought of people reading your opinions and stories gets you excited but is quickly replaced by self-doubt and an almost paralyzing fear (“Who am I to speak about this!?”) --> You fear that no one actually cares what you have to say --> You’ve held back from speaking up in the past because you were afraid of how people in your life would respond, and it left you feeling guilty and disingenuous I want you to imagine something else. Imagine, instead, having the confidence to share your opinions publicly, and to stand firm behind them, because you know in your heart that your opinions matter. That your thoughts are valid. Imagine getting a flurry of replies from people saying “I thought I was the only one who felt this way” and “thank you for saying what I’ve been wanting to say for years”. Imagine having the courage to publish a piece of work and knowing that when you do, dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of people will be reading what you wrote. Want this for yourself? Public speaking turns fear into eloquence over time. This skill, once mastered, doesn’t fade—it's an investment in your voice, audible in boardrooms and beyond. Historical figures like Churchill didn’t start as orators; they honed their craft through trial, error, and tenacity. Dig deeper: public speaking is more than performance; it's personal growth made public. It teaches resilience, adaptation, and the art of persuasion. This skill is indispensable, for it amplifies every other ability you possess. Fast forward to a future where your words might inspire change, ignite innovation, or shift paradigms. Your voice is your signature; make it resonate. #SpeakUp #EloquenceInAction #VoiceYourVision #OratoryGrowth #PublicSpeakingPower
