SGPWA supports the findings of the independent benefit-cost analysis of the Delta Conveyance Project (DCP) released by the California Department of Water Resources (DWR). The study underscores the importance of the DCP as the backbone of the State Water Project’s (SWP) delivery infrastructure. Modernizing this system increases water security in the Pass area and across California. According to the study, the updated cost estimate shows that DCP expenses remain flat. The gains of the project more than double the costs, generating $38 billion in total benefits. It is time to invest in the DCP to continue to provide affordable, high-quality water to millions of Californians.
