I'm happy to share that Delaware Valley University has received $2,025,000 in RACP funds to build a state-of-the-art Poultry Science Center! This innovative facility will provide hands-on learning opportunities for students, support workforce development in PA's rapidly growing poultry industry, and contribute to local food security and public health initiatives.

🌍🚀 Exciting times for the #TwinSubDyn project! Our team member, Slaven Tenodi, has started a 6-month secondment at Forschungszentrum Jülich under the guidance of PD Dr. Lutz Weihermüller. 🧑🔬 Slaven will be working on managing and modeling data collected from long-term lysimeter experiments conducted at UNS PMF. The goal? After spending many hours in the lab, I'm finally done with my undergraduate thesis on a new raw goat-skin preservation method to reduce chloride content in tannery wastewater. Exciting things are growing over at North Dakota State University with construction beginning on the new Bolley Agricultural Laboratory! Named after Henry L. Bolley — one of the first faculty members at North Dakota Agricultural College (now NDSU) and the founder and coach of the university’s football team — this building will be one of the largest capital construction projects in NDSU history. Bolley will be home to a variety of agricultural research programs and will provide NDSU scientists with the space, equipment, and technology to drive innovation related to the state’s agricultural industry. 🌱 Learn more about the project here: https://lnkd.in/gRtpFJS8

VSU will soon have its Forest Products Innovation and Training Center (FPITC) located in the Department of Forest Science Nursery Complex, all thanks to the Department of Science and Technology through the Forest Products Research and Development Institute (DOST-FPRDI), DOST Region VIII, and the Leyte Provincial Science and Technology Office (PSTO) for funding and making this project a reality. This center will serve as a hub to help boost the Visayas region's forest products-based industries and communities. The establishment of this center at VSU is part of the nationwide project of DOST-FPRDI to boost local forest-based products. The other two centers are Caraga State University (Mindanao) and Isabela State University (Luzon). The wood processing machines and other advanced machinery from FPDFI for processing wood and non-wood forest products are expected to arrive at VSU within the week.
