There are two at the top of the MMA world today, and that’s the PFL and the UFC. While the PFL and the UFC continue to succeed on a global scale, it's also good to see smaller regional promotions like One FC in the Caribbean, Naciones MMA in Central America, and Road FC in South Korea achieving their own success as well. With the PFL’s groundbreaking acquisition of Bellator MMA, as well as its international leagues such as PFL Europe, PFL MENA, and PFL Africa, there’s no denying that the PFL is a true global MMA powerhouse. As the league continues to expand its reach globally, there’s nowhere to go but up, and there’s still so much to look forward to for the fans of the league, and the fans of the sport of MMA. Here is a fact. Most UFC fighters make more money than these athletes are paid for their purse in what's called Promotional Guidelines Compliance Payouts. Depending upon your rank you get a percentage of the Venum sponsorship that the UFC has that clothes all the athlete. UFC 300 last year around the same time as these 3 PFL events below, paid out more money in 1 bout to 1 fighter than they paid out in this entire 3 fight cards. They also get 20-30 % of merchandise sales. So far this year most athletes have made over $100k. Holloway earned 1.15 million, and Gaethje made $850k. That is before PPV revenue. Donn Davis, you have no idea about the business side of MMA. You almost went out of business last year, Alex Rodriguez saved you and the $65 million you raised. This year the Saudis saved you with the 100 million and you gave them their own league. Your claim that MMA viewership is 80% foreign is false. Your soccer/ MMA comparisons are ludicras. Total payroll above for the 3 events is right at 1 million dollars. These figures are for last year's 2023 shows where they reported because they were required to by the state commissions.
