"I'm excited to learn about the incredible work Faith Olaiya is doing in #EdTech. Based on my experience promoting a tertiary college, I believe EdTech offers significant benefits, especially in following key areas: (1). Financial Empowerment: EdTech's accessibility and popularity make it an ideal platform for teaching financial literacy. By equipping the youth and women with budgeting, saving, and investing skills, we can empower individuals to make informed financial decisions and build a stronger economic foundation. (2). Economic Independence: EdTech can bridge the digital divide and provide access to job opportunities, enabling individuals to break free from poverty. Through mentorship and online marketplaces, the youth are now more than ever able to confidently leverage their digital skills to find work, whether locally or globally. They are now truly digital citizens. (3). Community Engagement: EdTech has the potential to drive positive social change. By providing education on important topics like health, environmental sustainability, and civic engagement, we can empower communities to address pressing issues and foster a more equitable and sustainable future. We see here that Edtech will align well with ESG frameworks that often focus on the social and environmental impacts of businesses. Moreover, Edtech aligns well with several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (#SDGs) namely on: ·        Goal 4: Quality Education: ·        Goal 5: Gender Equality: ·         Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth: ·         Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure I'm eager to explore how Faith Olaiya's work is leveraging EdTech to create a more inclusive and prosperous society.

The inspiring journey of Srikanth Bolla will shock you. ➡︎1992: Srikanth Bolla was born in Seetharamapuram, a small village in Andhra Pradesh, India. He was born visually impaired. ➡︎2005-2009: Despite facing discrimination and challenges due to his disability, Srikanth excelled in his studies during his school years. ➡︎2009: Srikanth scored 90% in his Class 10 exams. ➡︎2010: He faced a significant setback when he was denied admission to the science stream for his intermediate education due to his visual impairment. Srikanth sued the state government, fought for 6 months, and won the case. ➡︎2011: Srikanth topped his class with 98% in his 12th board exams, becoming one of the top students in his district. ➡︎2011: When IITs refused to give him a hall ticket for writing the competitive exam, Srikanth decided to look beyond IIT. ➡︎2011: He became the first international blind student to be admitted to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the United States. ➡︎2012-2015: Srikanth studied at MIT, majoring in Management Science. ➡︎2012: After returning from the US, he founded Bollant Industries, focusing on manufacturing eco-friendly products and employing people with disabilities. ➡︎2015: After graduating from MIT, Srikanth returned to India to focus on growing Bollant Industries. ➡︎2016-2021: Under Srikanth's leadership, Bollant Industries expanded, attracting investments (including from Ratan Tata) and creating employment opportunities for hundreds of people, many with disabilities. ➡︎2021: By this time, Bollant Industries had grown significantly, with multiple manufacturing units and a substantial workforce. The company was valued at over Rs 100 Crore. Notably, 60% of the employees at Bollant Industries are poor and physically challenged. ➡︎2023: At 29 years old, Srikanth Bolla is recognized as a successful entrepreneur from Hyderabad, inspiring many with his journey of overcoming obstacles and creating opportunities for others. Celebrating small wins today!!! Thank you 100 followers. 100 might not seem like a big number to some, but for me, it’s a milestone worth celebrating. It’s proof that showing up consistently works—even when it feels uncomfortable. Here’s what helped me get here: 1. I stopped waiting to feel “ready.” Instead of waiting for success to come first, I started sharing my journey, thoughts, and insights as they were—imperfect but honest. 2. I started valuing my work. It’s easy to doubt yourself and think, “Does this even matter?” But when I shifted my focus to serving others and adding value, showing up became easier. If you’re finding it hard to be consistent, ask yourself: • Are you waiting for success before you start? • Do you see the value in what you’re doing? The Birth of TeensEvolve* In 2024, I had the incredible opportunity to co-found TeensEvolve alongside an amazing team. Our mission? To bridge an essential gap in my community by equipping teenagers with vital soft skills like leadership, communication, and problem-solving. The inspiration came from a simple observation: Many teenagers in my community showed immense potential but lacked the tools to express themselves, lead effectively, or tackle challenges with confidence. I realized that addressing this need wasn’t just an idea—it was a responsibility. Through TeensEvolve, we’ve seen firsthand how nurturing these skills can transform young minds, enabling them to thrive in school, relationships, and future careers. What I’ve learned (and what I hope others can take away): 1️⃣ *Look for the gaps*: Sometimes the biggest problems are hiding in plain sight. Take the time to observe your environment and ask, *What’s missing?* 2️⃣ *Collaboration is key*: TeensEvolve wouldn’t have been possible without a passionate team that shared the vision and brought diverse skills to the table. 3️⃣ *Start small but think big*: Big changes don’t happen overnight, but small, consistent steps lay the groundwork for lasting impact. I’m proud of what we’ve built and grateful for the journey so far. To anyone out there with an idea to create change: Take that first step. You never know how many lives you might touch. From the moment they started brainstorming, it was clear they were ready to take on the junk food crisis with innovation and determination! 🌍✨ Guided by Fyule mentors, these young changemakers: 🔍 Uncovered the hidden secrets of junk food by learning how to decode food labels. 🎥 Mastered engaging video techniques like vox pops, storytelling, and creative transitions. 💡 Shared tips and solutions for making healthier food choices, inspiring their peers. In just a few hours, ACTS students turned their ideas into impactful videos that shed light on the dangers of junk food and sparked conversations about healthier lifestyles. ✨ Their passion for making a difference proves that small steps can lead to big changes.
