Congratulation to mr Federico demartini &demartini Group Companies on TV show case on textile waste recreation achivment devlpment to sustainability 2024
A couple of weeks ago, I had the privilege of speaking to a room of sports industry changemakers at #seasummit24. Although I regularly engage in speaking in front of crowds, this was the first time I had been on a panel at a conference.
The experience was a little bit daunting, but it was a great opportunity to speak about our waste management approach at Quayclean Australia Pty Ltd. With an overarching questions relating to best practice in our space, I iterated the importance of versatility in differing contexts and environments, holistic collaboration with all stakeholders, and the importance of a systems thinking approach to the multifaceted management of waste.
Working with a variety of large scale sporting venues such as the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Marvel Stadium, Optus Stadium, Sydney Cricket Ground and Melbourne & Olympic Parks, Quayclean is in a privileged position to make significant sustainability impacts with the management of the waste of thousands of patrons attending events. I would love to say it's easy, but the challenges faced in this space are immense.
Although I've only been in my role as a Resource Recovery Engagement Officer for a few months, I have had the opportunity to experience how waste management is being executed in many of the venues we operate in. This experience has unveiled the unique context of each of these venues and how a one size fits all approach to waste management isn't necessarily an option.
However, saying that, Quaycleans approach to best practice remains the same. Holistic, systematic and innovative, with an aim of continually learning and improving to provide the most sustainable outcomes for us, our clients and the environment.
Bring on the resource recovery challenges!
It's all happening at #SEASummit24
The next panel looks at 'Circular economy in sport: Avoiding, reducing and recycling today, to prevent resource challenges tomorrow.' The panel are also discussion collaboration and best practice and how to measure the impact of initiatives being introduced.
Panellists are.
Michael Kenny, Senior Manager Events & Workforce, Victoria Racing Club
Liam Gook, Resource Recovery Engagement Officer, Quayclean
Daniel Mitroussidis, Manager International Development, BiobiN®

🌍 Circular Economy & Data Erasure: Bridging Sustainability with Digital Responsibility 🌱
During my time at university, the circular economy was a huge and popular topic that inspired many of us to think critically about sustainability and resource efficiency. Today, as technology continues to evolve, it’s clear that data erasure plays a crucial role in the circular economy.
Proper data erasure ensures that digital devices can be reused, resold, or recycled without risking data breaches, promoting both environmental sustainability and digital security. By securely wiping data, we help extend the lifecycle of electronic devices, reducing e-waste and conserving resources—an essential pillar of the circular economy.
Let’s continue to innovate sustainably and drive towards a greener, more responsible future where technology supports the planet! 🌐🔄 🌲

A longstanding relationship between DEC • Dynamic Environmental Corporation- a leader in Solvent Recovery Unit (SRU) technology - and GEROSA GROUP reaches new heights.
The bond between the two companies has been rooted in mutual trust and a shared commitment to sustainability since 1981. Today, it achieves a significant milestone: DEC and Cellografica Gerosa SpA have sealed a new contract for two next-generation SRUs, the SMS (Smart Modular Systems), promising to further elevate Gerosa's commitment to environmental responsibility and production efficiency, thanks to these cutting-edge systems.
This new investment will significantly reduce Gerosa's greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, not only reinforcing the circular economy model, but also getting a step closer to achieving our sustainability objectives.
As said by Elia Gerosa - Supply Chain Director at Cellografica Gerosa SpA:
“Sustainability has always been a core principle at Cellografica Gerosa. Partnering with the Formigoni family since 1981 has allowed us to consistently stay at the forefront of environmentally conscious practices. Their innovative spirit and reliable technology have been invaluable assets. We look forward to integrating the advanced SRU SMS platform to further solidify our commitment to a greener future alongside DEC. This #investment represents a significant step in our journey to minimise our environmental impact and embrace a more circular approach to production."
As this longstanding #partnership proves, collaboration, #innovation, and trust can lead to a more sustainable and environmentally responsible future in the flexible packaging industry.
