Certification or verification?   Introducing Earthtrust – Transparency Radical   Transparently sharing data so the world can judge and comment on whether you are doing what you say you're doing or paying someone to visit you in private and then tell the world you're doing good against a private standard?   There are so many claims in the marketplace and so many justified cries of greenwashing but few transparent ways to verify if a company is good for their word.   At Pond Foundation, we're looking to change that with our Earthtrust initiative.   We've built a platform where data and documentation are uploaded so people anywhere can see it and determine for themselves how a claimant is going.   Radical transparency.    Only the courageous and truly open will be up for it initially but in time, it will set a new standard in reporting.    We're starting with ourselves. We claim we pay 100% of the price of a Carbon Removal Credit (CRC), set by the project partner who is doing the removal, to the project partner. No haircut, none of this keeping 80% for ourselves nonsense.   You buy a CRC from us and the project gets 100% of what they asked for. Our margin to cover our monitoring and due diligence costs - 12.5% plus bank charges - goes on top. We don't apply any haircut to the funds received by the project which means more money goes to Nature.   Or so we claim.   How can you know?    On Earthtrust, we've shared invoices and proof of payment documents to verify that claim.
