Statistically 1 in 5 children in these United States experience hunger daily and do not know where their next meal will come from. As we journey toward Fall and the major Holiday Seasons of Thanksgiving and Christmas, we need your help to keep our shelves overflowing with food and our freezers & refrigerators filled month to month. There are families, children, you may never meet hoping that you will assist us in helping them through this coming holiday season. Did you know that 47 million people in America face hunger? My company, Artisan Learning, is teaming up with Feeding America this holiday season to help chip away at that number. Feeding America is part of a nationwide network of food banks, food pantries and community-based organizations in the United States working to create a future where no one is hungry. $1 to Feeding American can provide at least 10 meals. How is that possible? (That's what I wanted to know.) One way is that they work with the food industry to rescue food that would otherwise go to waste. That's a win-win in my book.
