As someone who has struggled with mental health, “emotional first aid” is such a great concept. When, not if, you run into people who draw emotional first blood from you, it’s great help to be able to recognize it and apply first aid to your emotional wounds. He points out that we need to look at our emotional hygiene and change the way we think about mental health.
