This week I had the great pleasure of participating with Denmark in Canada in the third edition of the Montreal Climate and Security Summit. Truly fascinating speakers, such as Sherri Goodman, Tom Middendorp and of course foreign ministers of 🇨🇦 Mélanie Joly and 🇳🇴 Espen Eide and many more. Climate change poses enormous threats to our security that we must prepare for and take seriously. Glad to see military leaders from NATO step up and address the issues without being distracted from other prominent threats and challenges. Thanks to Mathieu Bussières, Ulrich Seidenberger, Youri Cormier and Pauline Baudu for organising a fantastic conference. Also had the pleasure of taking part in the official opening of NATO Climate Change and Security Centre of Excellence (CCASCOE) where 🇩🇰 is a proud sponsoring nation with Kim Vetting as our posted expert. Also enjoyed the company of Kasper Flinker Ladegaard 🇩🇰’s official representative at the CCASCOE Steering Committee, Martin Søvang Ditlevsen and last but not least Jarl Frijs-Madsen.
