After meniscus surgery, there is so much uncertainty about what is happening in your knee. One of the biggest fears is that something goes wrong with the surgery, especially if you had a meniscus repair. Meniscus repairs are more prone to having issues after surgery. Meniscectomy surgery tends to have less problems after, but people usually develop osteoarthritis at earlier ages after meniscectomy surgery. So it’s a double edged sword in choosing which surgery (if you have the option). You can try a repair, but have to be very careful so you don’t mess up the surgery.
