NYC Department of Buildings’ Post

Today is the first day of National Construction Safety Week and to mark the occasion, DOB has published its annual Construction Safety Report! Check it out to see the latest in construction safety trends, including that related fatalities are at their lowest in nearly a decade. Other highlights from the report include that despite a record number of inspections, violations and Stop Work Orders are on the decline. It's a clear sign of increased compliance from our construction industry pros. But there's still work to be done. The report highlights a concerning trend: building construction-related worksite injuries are on the rise for the third year. Throughout #ConstructionSafetyWeek, our team will be out in full force, conducting spot inspections and chatting with workers about the critical importance of worksite safety. Stay tuned for more! This report shines a light on industry compliance and emphasizes the crucial role of safety regulations in our city's Construction Codes. Dive on in here: https://lnkd.in/gkpDGWwR
