📢 Our new strategy has six themes, which will help us achieve our vision of creating a fair and just world for working-class people. Our first exciting theme will focus on growing our strong community of working-class young people. Here are four key objectives: 1️⃣ Core programme development: develop a core programme as a foundation for all young people participating in our projects and programmes. It will cover critical thinking, power, and intersectional class identity. 2️⃣ Connect working-class youth: provide opportunities for current and former RECLAIM young people to connect, learn from each other and develop deeper relationships with each other and their work. 3️⃣ Build stronger networks: support young people in building relationships and networks with organisations, activists, decision-makers, and change-makers across social movements and civic spaces. 4️⃣ Develop our community: embed a community engagement strategy that enables us to understand young people, support their work and platform their voices. If you'd like to know more about our strategy or how you can get involved, DM us or email d.dallman@reclaim.org.uk

From the desk of Dr. Gerilyn Davis: Happy Thursday! I hope that you are having an enriching end to the week. I feel enriched when I think of the value inclusion has brought to my life. In Phase Four: Review Weekly of the SWORD Inclusion System for Mountain Towns, we recognize how our inclusive practices have already begun to shift the community. --- DECISION MAKING: By putting inclusion at the forefront, we reframe conflict as a means to clarify decisions. --- PLANNING ALIGNMENT: We align better around planning because we have the community’s support. --- INCREASED COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: When community members know their perspectives matter, they are more likely to engage in the community. There is something unique about the mountain town experience. I’ve always wanted to move closer to the mountains. You never know, I may be making my way to an inclusive mountain town. Enjoy the day! #joyofinclusion #inclusionexpansion #inclusionincludesyoutoo #InclusionontheSlopes #SWORDInclusionSystem #PhaseFourReviewWeekly #Inclusivemountaintowns

As part of ongoing onboarding new talent into Community Association Management over the past days, one of the session we were exploring as team was "The Power of Allyship in Community Association Management." thought this will be beneficial in building harmonious community. Allyship is crucial for fostering inclusivity and support, creating a harmonious environment for all residents. Key benefits of allyship: - Enhanced community engagement drives active resident participation in events and initiatives. - Diverse perspectives lead to creative solutions for community challenges. - Increased trust and community bonds are strengthened. - Positive reputation attracts new residents and businesses to inclusive communities. To cultivate allyship: - Listen actively to diverse perspectives and feedback. - Educate oneself about different cultures and backgrounds. - Advocate for equality and inclusion in policies and practices. - Build bridges between residents of different backgrounds to foster community spirit. Prioritizing allyship enables freehold community associations to establish equitable, sustainable, and thriving environments. It is crucial to implement community policies without biases, fostering unity and inclusivity. #CAI #WeAreCAI
