Amara, a residential project which is set to be built at a prime location in Chennai, is designed with a facade that demands a new architectural landmark, considering the importance of the location.The design process involved extensive exploration of façade typologies, leading to the adoption of a fluidic pattern. This design not only provides a distinctive visual identity but also enhances functionality by shading the balconies. The facade’s form evolves from a stable, near-equilibrium state to more dynamic, non-equilibrium conditions, mirroring the turbulence of fluid motion. This fluidic pattern is rooted in organic geometry, resulting in a continuous, uninterrupted form that envelops the building. The façade’s dynamic progression not only defines the building’s visual character but also reflects a broader architectural concept of fluidity and motion.
