Here is what freelance designers do wrong after getting a client: - send full payment invoice one day - don't dive into an area where the client came from - hide work progress - don't ask for short feedback during the entire process - specify tough deadlines and don't meet them - rush into colorful pixels Good design starts with trust. #

Added a clause to my contract incentivising clients with a 20% discount if they agree to me sharing in-progress work publicly while a project is underway. I find that many noteworthy (even meme-worthy) moments are missed during the course of a project where the work is confidential, and a single portfolio entry at the end of the project with a few approved mockups — that doesn't really cut it. That's why I'm adding this clause, with the aim of sharing real "live behind the scenes" content with future work.
