The IMO has introduced new regulations under two resolutions, MEPC.369(80) and MEPC.383(81), which will come into effect in 2025. These amendments impact shipowners, operators, and managers, requiring changes to the format of Ballast Water Record Books (BWRB) and introducing mandatory electronic record-keeping. Increased Maritime Safety Standards Coming in 2026 with SOLAS Amendments Amendments to Chapter II-2 and Chapter V of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS), which will enter into force on 1 January 2026.
