The Autonomous Networks Maturity Model of TM Forum is an important tool for telecoms and network operators to assess and manage the progress of their automation efforts. It provides a structured approach for planning and implementing the path to fully autonomous networks. The model comprises several levels that describe the degree of autonomy and the ability of a network to manage itself. Network operators worldwide are leveraging these AN levels to set ambitious targets for automating their network operations. Many have publicly committed to achieving Level 4. Our expert Jacek Hanusik is hosting the upcoming panel at Digital Transformation World where the results of global assessments on AN Levels for fault management in RAN and core networks will be revealed: 📅Date: 18 June 2024, 4.30-5.30pm 📍Place: Bella Center Copenhagen, Stage C This is a unique opportunity to gain insights from industry leaders and understand the evolving landscape of network automation – stay tuned! 🚀 #autonomousnetworks #telecommunications #tmforum

🚀 Exciting reflections from the recent WWRF Huddle 2024! As a panel member, I was thrilled to dive deep into the future of connectivity. The leap to connectivity beyond 5G is not just a step but a significant stride towards redefining how we connect globally. 🌐 Key takeaways: - The journey to 6G is marked by immense challenges yet holds unprecedented opportunities. It is seen as an evolution with the expectation of a revolution in the way we live, work and interact. - 6G should build on 5G's foundation, offering a smooth transition, backwards compatibility and lower entry costs. Combining technologies like satellite and mobile, along with open networks and modularity, will drive innovation and expand global access. - Making 6G a reality demands unprecedented collaboration across the ecosystem and with regulators. Economic incentives must align with societal goals, and innovative trials and financing models can accelerate progress. - There's a resounding optimism among experts about overcoming hurdles and enhancing interconnectivity, from terrestrial to non-terrestrial networks. The journey is just beginning, but the destination is worth it. Let's continue to tear down boundaries and embrace the collaborative spirit. Thank you #FraunhoferFOKUS, Bundesnetzagentur, #ForumEurope and all the participants for an insightful and well-organised event. #WWRFHuddle2024 #6G #FutureOfConnectivity #EIB

Last week's TNT 2024 workshop, co-located with #NOMS2024 in Seoul, was an outstanding event with brilliant people and ideas around possible concepts and ideas for network digital twins #NDT #NetworkDigitalTwin. Thank you Laurent Ciavaglia for hosting this excellent workshop! Thankfully, we received extremely valuable comments and feedback for the small network digital twin prototype (Digital Siblings Network - DigSiNet, available as open-source https://lnkd.in/eEXgkB62) that we presented in our paper and an additional demo session! Especially, the open discussion about future aspects of the co-located workshops autonomous network management co-chaired by Paul Harvey and network telemetry data quality hosted by José Camacho Páez was outstanding and thought-provoking! The prototype we presented allows us to experiment with use-cases for digital twins in the area of network management and network automation. Based on the proof-of-concept, we're currently working on implementing a digital twin based learning platform, dashboards and evaluate scenarios for optimized continous (near real-time) data exchange between the real network and its siblings as well as possibly moving to programmable switches and SmartNICs/XPUs. We introduced a sibling concept that allows to use multiple, specialized twins that explicitly focus on parts of the real network and its services to use different virtual or emulated network platforms being best-suited for the individual purpose of each sibling. It was nice to get feedback after the talk regarding interest not only from other researchers but also companies being interested in a cooperation regarding our small project. Thanks again to the entire DigSiNet team for the hard work being put into the prototype! Moritz Freund, David Hermann, Leon-Niklas Lux, Thomas Mott, Sven Schickentanz, Jannik Schmitt, Martin Stiemerling! #networkmanagement #networkautomation
