https://lnkd.in/gP8x4sKY Have you noticed how little common sense many of today's students attending institutes of higher learning have? I wish there were professors with enough common sense to tell their students who are crying that life is going to be hell now that Trump has been elected, to make a list of five things they believe will be so bad. Every month, if they check their list, they'll start to see they were making themselves sick over virtually nothing. They'll also notice life is becoming better under Trump. But wait, there is another list. That will be a list of the reporters and anchors in the media who gave ominous warnings and spread lies about Trump that will be proven not to be true. That will come in handy during the next four years as those same people continue to trash Trump. Although such self-help lists can be helpful, most of the "WOKE" people asked to make such a list and follow through on the plan, would find every reason they could not to make the list or follow through with it if they did make the list. There is a large percentage of "WOKE" and TDS people who do not want to do anything that could possibly put Trump in a better light. Even if they knew that such efforts would be rewarding because they would start understanding more truth, increasing their odds of being successful, many wouldn't want to do it. Why? Because in finding out the truth, through the process of elimination, they would start seeing a truth they simply haven't allow themselves to accept previously. It is the knowledge that most of the problems in their lives are caused by themselves. That might be too disrupting to accept if one has become "WOKE." However, each life that would be positively changed by performing such an exercise would be well worth the trouble of motivating them and staying on them about finishing the task. There are few things more rewarding for a teacher than seeing a student who regularly struggled because they wouldn't get out of their own way, finally realize that they were holding themselves back much more than any other person, group, or entity they blamed in the past. That is when those students start to realize that they have been missing one opportunity after another because they were always blaming "privilege" or luck for why others were more successful than them. It is in our base human nature to blame others for our mistakes rather than accept responsibility for them, thereby decreasing the odds of learning from them. One of the most alarming things I've seen in the last decade is how badly the college kids of today have been handicapped from being successful because of having professors that are nothing more than political activists as their teachers. For many of them, they are in so deep that to see the light and change will be as difficult as getting an alcoholic to quit drinking. Each life is worth the struggle, though! It is always a beautiful thing to see ungrateful people become grateful!

In my opinion, truly important for the future of the field.
"For a new industry worker to be licensed, [under the Colorado bill] they will have to graduate from an accredited educational institution for that profession, pass the national board examination, complete an apprenticeship, and pass a criminal background check. "The licenses could be obtained by those currently working in the field, when they can show they have worked at least 4,000 hours in the field, completed an apprenticeship, passed a criminal background check, and after two years, they could qualify for full licensure." https://lnkd.in/gxJvy3uk
