Using wallpaper in small spaces can add a lot of personality and style. Opt for bold patterns to make the room feel vibrant, or choose light-colored, subtle designs to make the space feel larger and more open. An accent wall with wallpaper will create a great focal point without overwhelming the room. Vertical stripes make ceilings appear higher, while textured wallpapers add depth and sophistication. Mirrored or metallic finishes reflect light and add a touch of glam. For a calming effect, nature-inspired designs like florals and botanicals work beautifully. Wallpaper has the ability to transform small spaces into stylish, engaging areas. My biggest inspiration comes from the lines and patterns we find in nature. Many lines are used in interior design, from straight, curved, and dotted lines to zig-zag lines to form patterns and shapes. Lines connect two dots and evoke various moods based on their texture, direction, look, and weight. Interestingly, patterns are more than just shapes and designs found on decorations, clothing, and furniture. Pattern recognition is a fundamental element of the human brain and can be applied to visual images, sound, and smell. #interiordesign #interiors #interiordecor #interiordesigner #interiorstyling #HomeDecor2024 #interiorquotes #ınstagood #elementsofdesign #livingroom #furnituredesign #realestate #style #kitchendesign #architect #designinspiration #interiordecorating #vintage #renovation #luxuryhomes #kitchen #interiorinspiration #photography #interiorinspo #house #construction #luxurylifestyle #homeinspo #linesofdesign #instahome

Have you heard of the 60-30-10 rule in interior design? 🎨 Let’s break down this simple yet effective principle: 🔹 60% Dominant Color: Select a dominant color that forms the foundation of your design scheme. This color will encompass the majority of your space, including walls, large furniture pieces, and flooring. It sets the overall mood and serves as a unifying element throughout the room. 🔸 30% Secondary Color: Choose a secondary color to complement your dominant hue. This color should be used for upholstery, curtains, rugs, and accent furniture. It adds depth and visual interest to the space, creating a harmonious balance with the dominant color. 🔹 10% Accent Color: Introduce accent colors to inject personality and character into your design. These pops of color can be incorporated through throw pillows, artwork, decorative accessories, or small furniture pieces. The accent color adds vibrancy and focal points, drawing the eye and tying the entire room together. By following the 60-30-10 rule, you’ll achieve a well-balanced and visually appealing space that reflects your personal style. The 60:30:10 rule is a classic approach to achieving a well-balanced and harmonious color scheme in interior design. Here's how it works: 60% Dominant Color: This is the foundation of the space, typically applied to walls, large accent pieces, or even flooring. It sets the overall tone for the room. 30% Secondary Color: The secondary color complements the dominant shade and is often used for furniture, textiles, or feature walls, adding depth without overpowering the primary color. 10% Accent Color: This vibrant color adds energy and contrast, used sparingly on items like cushions, artwork, or accessories to create visual focal points. Eager to see how this timeless rule can redefine your space? Let’s make it happen. #interiordesign #colorscheme #designtips #homedecor #professionaldesign #spaceplanning #interiorstyle

The 60-30-10 color rule is a classic interior design guideline used to create balanced and visually appealing color schemes in a space. It suggests dividing the colors in a room into three distinct percentages: 60% - This is the dominant color and typically covers the majority of the space. It often includes walls, large accent pieces, or large area rugs. This color sets the overall tone of the room. 30% - This is the secondary color, which supports the dominant color but is different enough to create interest. It can be used for upholstery, curtains, or smaller furniture pieces. This color adds depth and variety to the room. 10% - This is the accent color, used sparingly to add a pop of interest and contrast. It can be introduced through accessories like throw pillows, artwork, or decorative items. This color is meant to draw attention and highlight certain features of the room. #ColorTheory #DesignTips #InteriorDesign #CreativeBalance

Is Your Home Too Beige? Beige has long been a favourite in interior design, celebrated for its versatility and ability to create a warm, inviting atmosphere. But has our love for beige gone too far? While it offers a neutral canvas, overdoing it can make a space feel bland and uninspired. Here are some ideas to elevate your home beyond the beige: 1. Mix Textures: Combine different materials like wood, linen, and metals to add depth and interest to your beige backdrop. 2. Introduce Bold Accents: Incorporate pops of colour through accessories, artwork, or furniture to create focal points that draw the eye. 3. Layer with Patterns: Add patterned textiles or wallpapers to break the monotony and introduce personality into your space. 4. Earthy Tones: Consider pairing beige with rich browns, soft greens, or terracotta for a more dynamic and harmonious look 💬 How do you avoid making your home too beige? #InteriorDesign #HomeDecor #Beige #ColourTrends #HestiaSmartLiving
